Getting rid of the
PAIN
that just won’t go away……

SLV Electroanalgesia

A revolutionary non-invasive treatment for pain.

Safe and Effective

   Relief from:

Back Pain, Sciatica, Failed Back Surgery, Spinal Stenosis, Fibromyalgia, Diabetic Neuropathy, Migraine, Neck Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,  Shoulder Pain, Knee Pain and other acute & chronic painful conditions.

Long-Term Advantages:

• Dramatic savings in both treatment and
    subsequent lifelong medication costs.
• Potential for returning to the work force.
• Reducing or eliminating the need for addictive
    narcotic medications.
• Allowing you to perform activities of daily
    living with minimal pain.
• Restoring your sense of self-worth and
self-esteem by reducing your pain and
    enhancing your quality of life.

Conditions benefiting from Treatments:
• Acute and chonic pain conditions.
• Management and symptomatic relief of
    chronic INTRACTABLE pain.
• Post-traumatic pain syndromes.
• Post-surgical pain conditions.
• Relaxation of muscle spasm.
• Neuromuscular re-education, and rehabilitation
    of weakened muscles.
• Prevention of disuse muscle atrophy as a result
    of long-term bed confinement.
• Increasing local circulation, and accelerating the
    rate of healing.

Pain Treatment:

Pain, although an essential sensory function that protects the body, all too often persists as a symptom of an underlying uncorrectable disease process, and becomes a disease in its own right.

When the “cause” of the pain cannot be treated, the means to obtain pain relief have traditionally been limited to addictive narcotic (pain) medications, destructive operative procedures, and indirect modalities such as physical therapy.

These techniques have serious limitations, and complications arising from them frequently aggravates the original condition causing the pain.

Progress has been made in the development of novel and effective alternatives in pain treatment. One of the major advances and the major areas of interest in this field has been the use of electrotherapy to produce Electric Nerve Blocks (ENBs) for pain control.

Nerve blocks traditionally arise from procedures where an anesthetic agent is introduced, or injected, to interrupt nerve impulses. Complications arising from such invasive procedures are sometimes disabling and avoidable by introducing the nerve block by using very small electrical impulses applied to the skin.

What to Expect:

Without piercing the skin, physicians can now administer effective nerve pain treatments to reduce the hyper-irritated state of nerves causing painful conditions. Comfortable electrodes on the skin introduce very specific bioelectric signal impulses to produce an electroanalgesic nerve blocking effect. The electrical current generated during those treatments reduces the ability of nerves to generate pain signals to the brain, and at the same time, promotes healing of the irritated nerve cells by preventing them from “firing.”

Extensive research on this method of treatment has made the following conclusions:     PM2
• Overall, for any single treatment, 80% of patients achieve at least 25% improvement.

• Only a few patients get complete permanent relief in one treatment.

• Overall, half of the patients treated reported a decrease in “pain” and improved function over the course of 5-15 treatments.

• The average duration of relief is 1-3 days. Some experience only a few hours of relief while others are  essentially “cured”. Recurrence depends on actual pathology, patient activity and other treatments being used along with it.

• Because of the low-risk profile, these electronic nerve blocks can
and should be used for maintenance care.

• Trauma from surgery or from needles used in chemical nerve blocks
and the caustic effects of those chemicals cause scar tissue
   accumulation.

How does it differ from TENS treatments?
PM3
SLV e
lectroanesthesia is much more potent than TENS in its ability to reduce or eliminate acute or chronic intractable pain conditions. The old standard TENS technology employs a constant low frequency (less than 4000 cycles per second) stimulation where the patient controls the intensity of the treatment.

It is now recognized that a pitfall of this constant frequency stimulation is that, over time, the nervous system accommodates or “learns” not to pay attention to it. This essentially limits its use as a nerve blocking modality. It remains useful nonetheless as a treatment of muscle spasms.

Here’s what a few of our patients had to say:

It took all of the pain out of my shoulder that was bothering me for months since my accident. C.S.

The sharp shooting pain down my right leg is almost gone after one treatment. M.G.

My neck pain and headache are so much better and I didn’t have to take any pain pills or muscle relaxors. E.W.

The severe spasms in my back went away after two weeks of treatment. P.W.

The burning and numbness in my feet from my neuropathy has significantly reduced. H.G.

I can sleep at night without pain and numbness in my hands and wrists. C.M.

My arthritic knees have stopped hurting and I can walk without pain. L.S.
